Dr Shiraz and Dr Ayzaaz Akram founded Pure Smiles dental practice in Fulham Road in May 2009. Having outgrown that site, which is now their
dedicated Hygiene Centre, the brothers opened a second premises on the New
Kings Road devoted solely to dentistry in 2016.
‘Those 15 years have flown by,’ reflects Ayzaaz. ‘It’s been lovely to become part of
the local community and, in particular, to build relationships and become friends
with generations of so many local families.

Gerry Wakelin is one of Pure Smiles most long-standing patients. ‘I joined the
practice in 1964,’ he recalls. ‘I’ve been on Ayzaaz’s list since he and Shiraz took
over and the quality of his work has been superb.
